About Me

Welcome to Global Goodyear!

All I ever thought was that I would graduate from university and then figure out the rest later. Well here I am, three years later, still trying to figure it all out. I had a job in mental health for a while, but nothing felt right so I packed everything in and moved to Vietnam to teach English.

2017 Travel Roundup

My love of travel was ignited when I went to South Africa when I was 18. Since then I’ve been to other countries in Africa, Asia, North America and Europe. But I hate braggy posts about how many countries people have been to so I’ll leave it at that for now! Since moving to Vietnam I’ve travelled as much as possible in my spare time and am keeping a journal of my trips here.

A peek into some places I’ve been along the way

4 Days in Hoi An, Vietnam

2 Days in Siem Reap, Cambodia

3 Days in Penang, Malaysia

9 Things to do in Bangkok, Thailand

2 Weeks in the UK and Things I Miss as an Expat

I’m also hugely passionate and read a lot of books about global issues like human rights, feminism, diversity and equality. I think that it’s great that some of us get this wonderful opportunity to travel the world, but we’ve also got to be responsible and be global citizens. So as well as documenting my travels I’m starting to write more about ethical travelling and global issues. I’m quite new but it’s what I’m most interested in so have a gander and tell me what you think:
